Well as you can see, I gained 4 lbs. I'd been following a healthy diet and increased my exercise (walking 3-5 miles daily) and doing weight training 2-3 x weekly....I'd taken before and after measurements and lost a few inches but where I do NOT know...went shopping to try on new jeans and after trying on about 10 pair and still looking like a sausage being stuffed into a casing...I'm back to depressed and wondering why I keep trying....at 63 maybe I should just let my hair and body go, right? Life is short, eat and enjoy it.....but then there's that self pride I have....I like looking good, turning heads and fooling people that I really am almost 64...trying to find motivation again....thanks for reading...help!!!!

Well, I think the biggest motivation should be health over vanity especially if you are over the age of 50. Women over the age of 50 have an increased chance of having so many health issues, so I say keep health as the driving motivator. This shouldn't just be about turning heads or fooling folks about your age; this has to be about YOU. This shouldn't be done for others or to get a cetain response from others. If you are doing this then you won't be successful.

Agree ^^ The primary goal should be your health. Life IS short, but much more enjoyable when a person eats right and exercises, thus decreasing the incidence of disease.

Health is very important but go for turning heads. Life is short so enjoy but do it by being your very best. It will be a whole lot more fun

I think a woman should strive to be her best self, and that is both health and beauty. 64 is not old. Shift your mindset, reverse those numbers in your head, 46, and get moving girlie!! Sending you love! You're beautiful!

Are you drinking water? Keep going! Don't stop! Do what works, If it doesn't work try something different until you get results then stick with that.
