kingkeld's Journal, 19 December 2011

As Sherlock Holmes says: "The game is afoot!". I had my Indulgence Day on Saturday, and normally I gain weight both Sunday and Monday after, and then (usually) lose weight to a new low on or before Saturday morning, ready for a new Indulgence Day.
However, this Monday morning I already lost weight, and quite a lot too - 700 grams of the re-gained weight. I am today 84 kgs, and my low on Saturday was 82.3. I have 1.8 kgs to go to reach a new low. This should definitely be accomplishable though the week.

I have decided to set myself a little challenge. It's kinda tough, I think, but it would be an AWESOME milestone to reach.

Since the 31st of December is a Saturday, and the day I normally reach a new low, then I figured that it would be AWESOME to go out of 2011 with a weigh-in of LESS than 80 kgs. This means that since my low last Saturday I will have to drop 2.4 kgs. I think I might be able to pull it off - at least I will try to. We'll see what happens. :) It IS a challenge, with Christmas days in between and all, but I take comfort in the fact that the one BIG dinner day for us is Christmas eve, the 24th, and this is Indulgence Day. I don't even need to shift anything around. So I'm gonna take this challenge and see where it takes me. Also, there is no work between Christmas and New Year, so I can use that time to exercise, instead of just sitting at home doing nothing. I will make it a goal to be active over the season.

Today is GYM DAY!
I gotta say, I felt horrible last Friday for not going to the gym. I got PLENTY of exercise playing the concert, setting up gear, taking it down afterwards and all, but still. I have to admit that I miss the gym. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME? LOL.

So today I have done my morning workout DVD, and I will be going to the gym tonight. I will do my usual walk. but I am considering maybe adding 15 minutes to it, to burn just a little more, and see if this can make me move a little closer to my goal for new year.

It's gonna be a busy week at work. I need EVERYTHING done and ready for the holidays. There is quite some work to do, and more will come. We'll see how it goes. I just want it over with, so I can have a peaceful holiday break.

Today, I am thankful for
- going back to the gym
- last week of work before the holidays!
- losing weight this morning much to my surprise
- coffee! :)

I hope you guys have a great day. I know I will! Life is good!

I totally get your challenge! You can do this. Too many people get caught up in over eating for the sake of it over Christmas. It is still only food, my goals are more important than any food! We'll get this done and go into 2012 truly changed xxx

Helewis, it's kinda weird. I have NEVER been an exercise type of guy, and I have absolutely no interest in sports. They bore me. However, I love the way I feel after being to the gym, just like I love the way I feel after my daily morning workout. It's still kinda tough at times (especially the pushups!) but I really like the warm-up for the rest of the day. It makes me feel that I am doing something to lose the last bit of weight. And once I am there, it will keep me focused on it for life, I hope. I really want to keep going, and just generally do better than I used to.
