Wow, I dropped 1.4 kgs since yesterday. The thing about having the weekly Indulgence day is that it messes up my daily weigh-ins. I insist on doing daily weigh-ins to keep me focused on the task at hand, as well as it teaches me what impact my food choices can have on my weight.

Yesterday was - as expected - a LONG day. I went to work around 7.30 am and came home well past 10 pm - later than I thought I would. I got to talk to a lady at my teaching job, and she told me she is a mentor for a young girl with some issues. One of them is that she is morbidly obese. She was wondering how I lost the weight, and of course I was happy to share my "secrets". I pointed her to FatSecret, as well as an equivalent Danish site, and showed her what she and the girl can do. She might ask me to meet the girl and have a chat with her, to inspire. We'll see how that goes.

I think it's amazing how me losing weight can actually cause ripples in the water and affect others, simply by inspiring. I have so many people ask me, and so many wanting to sign up or do something similar. And of course, I also have a lot that looks all disappointed when they learn that the "trick" is to eat right and drink water. There is no magic pill. :)

Tonight is definitely a night to relax. I need to recover from yesterday's long work hours, and just take it easy. Terra Nova is on TV for Wife and I tonight. I'll be looking forward to it. To make it weight loss related, let's just say they run from the dinosaurs. Running is exercise, right? ;)

Oh, and depending on energy level this afternoon, I might run from imaginary dinos at the gym this afternoon. We'll see. I am trying hard to get into the habit of going. (thanks, sk1nny and Sarah, for making me look lazy!).

Life is good!

LOL Kingkeld... I don't think you could be called lazy working hours like that :-). I do hope you can help that young girl, it is so sad that she is in that position at such a young age. I didn't get "overweight" oooh ok "obese" (hate that word) until I was 42/43, so at least my early years were enjoyable and active. Great news 1.4kg, I certainly falls of, when it starts :-). Hope you get to the gym :-D

I was doing the same thing but I had to stop weighing myself every day. It got to a point that I would mindlessly weigh myself. Losing as much weight as you did is inspiring to others. The public always hears about weightloss failures and doesn't hear about the successes much. It's is fantastic that you are sharing your secrets to help others.

Thanks K! AND NO Your not lazy- your busy like the rest of us crazy folks... I just had a point to prove to my self this week and I kicked it in gear! Bad news is now i know what Im really able to do, and I'll feel bad if i dont keep it moving! I wont be having another 4000 cal burn day in a while. But DAMN it felt #$%%^ AWESOME! You go get that girl, get her on a mission to love herself more then food and change her life! No pressure :)
