Woke at 214.2 and 213.8 after work. Did 60 minutes of walking on my patched together treadmill. Now, check THIS out: I had to set the incline down to 1.0 (from 10) so that I could reach the handles (I broke off my traditional ‘hold on’ place when it came off in my hands the other night). So with the incline more level, about halfway through my walk I decided I didn’t need to hold on after all, as I was able to keep up much easier. What happened next blew my mind! My beats per minute skyrocketed to 185 bpm! I was having trouble getting to 135 while I was resting my hands on the handles (even when I have it set at 10 percent incline). I have hit similar high bpm numbers while walking/running outside, but never on the treadmill. So totally by accident, I found a way to get my heart rate way higher during workouts on my treadmill. The thing still has some life in it. Ate 1187 calories with a little extra meat and some edamame tonight. With the workout, I think I can accommodate the calories! Got on the scale after the workout and got a nice 211.4. One more 1000 calorie day and then it’s Turkey Day!
