Even at 225.2 for a waking weigh in. That's down from yesterday's 227.8 but even to the 225.2 of two days ago. The water is starting to go away. Still eating things like bagels, doughnuts, and other no-nos, but that will end starting Monday. Today are the services for my brother. Beautiful day for a celebration of life. Enjoy your day.

Bill, continuing to keep you and your family in my thoughts. If there was ever a time to take a break from things this is it, do what you need to do. I hope the day goes well and filled with good memories of you brother's life. Family, healing, and the grieving process are plenty to focus on for now.

you are in my prayers hun. It is always harder to focus on what we eat when our heart and mind is on a loss. It is my wish for you that during this time you remember that we are all here to help lift you up. "A burden is lighter when there is more hands to help carry it."

Bill I am so sorry to hear about the death of your brother. In times of death people often think of the words written in the bible at Psalms 146:4 "His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground;on that very day his thoughts do perish." Some religions teach & some people believe that our spirit is a shadowy existence of us that lives on elsewhere when we die. I like to use an illustration of a battery to explain it. :D There are all kinds of batteries just as there are all kinds of people, & inside each of those batteries exist an energy that enables the battery to work. Once the energy is gone, the battery is dead. There is no "life" left in it.But the best part about this illustration is that the battery can be recharged & "life" once again enables it to work. :D Some may imagine that my illustration to be silly & that it doesn't work that way with people but Jesus showed that it DOES work like this with people! :D In the bible at John 11:5-14 Jesus friend Lazarus died & he compared it to being asleep.Let me ask you Bill, how difficult is it to awaken someone from sleep? Granted,it may be more hard to arouse some than others :D but Jesus is showing how EASY it is for him to give us back our life,or recharge us, after we have died! I don't know if you have ever thought about it like this before but I find it very comforting & hope you do too. I'll share one more thought that your "celebration of life" causes me to think of :D its found in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 5 & 10 -"The *living* know that they will die but the *dead* know nothing at all...Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going." Do you agree with those words,Bill? Do you understand...even *feel* the urgency in them? What better thing could any of us "find to do" than to gain a *full* understanding of what the bible *really* teaches? For no more than the time it took you to read my comments,LOOK at what can be gained! :D Know Im thinking of you & your family. :)
