Can you gain weight by just thinking about overeating? LOL!! I'm up 1.8 lbs. today and I swear on my elliptical machine ... I did not go crazy!!! However, I did have more pretzels this weekend which equals sodium and I had ground taco beef on a salad last night which might be what is happening. Oh yea ... did I mention I've been stressed lately? Oh well ... it goes up ... it will come back down. And it really isn't up all that much.

I'm looking forward to work today. I do like what I do but I usually don't "look forward" to going to work. Usually I look forward to weekends and time off. Things are a little backwards right now. Life goes on and so do I. While I am sorely tempted to dive into a bucket of creamy rich ice-cream ... I have decided to take my buddy's counsel. If I am going to indulge by eating ... I'm going to do it up right ... really think about what I want to eat ... plan a feast!!! Rather than blindly stuff my face with whatever happens to be around. I haven't planned the feast yet. I will certainly share when and if I do!!!

I hope everyone has a decent day today ... that you can find the "up" side of whatever challenges cross your respective paths. I've dressed myself up real pretty this morning ... sometimes it helps when my spirit is dragging to dress myself up. Have a good one y'all!!!

So? Thaaaaaaaat's how my scale stayed up this weekend! I did think about food a lot this weekend. We ate well and we enjoyed our food - right? We did not torture ourselves - right? We are both good people - right? Then carry on my wondeful pal - carry on! As Tim Gunn says on "Project Runway," MAK IT WORK!

Salt is my first guess but stress will do it too. Cortisol causes weight gain believe it or not! Our hormones and chemicals in our bodies have a huge effect and the two factors you talk about can both contribute. Hope you have time to be good to you and destress yourself. :)

I also notice an increase after I've increased exercise, which I tend to do on the weekends. It's okay. I'll do my best to destress myself but I imagine the stress level will remain unusually high for a while ... health challenges have a way of doing that. Thanks buddies!!

You didn't add to your stress because of what the scale said, right? Right?? Cause we know not to sweat this flucts! lol I am always up monday morns lol, i should be embarrased!

The scale is just reflecting what you put into your body yesterday which was not fat. Stick to your guns and it will *always* come back down. Promise. ;-)
