Navywife,Thank you and Happy Nov to you too! 🍁🍂 Sydney is doing much better than we or the Vet expected. She is healing nicely. She hates the antibiotics though. They are capsules so I can't hide them in food..I basically have to coax them down her throat. She tries to hide when I get the bottle...I'm just so happy she is getting back to normal. 💜💜💜

I am so happy to hear that and I am sure you are much relieved! I form sliced cheese around pills for my dogs but maybe Sydney wouldn’t fall for that! Lol

HCB, thanks! Its definitely a process!💜💜 Navywife, Blue skies, and Little Red Fox, Sydney knows how to get pills out of the cheese. The others I haven't tried yet but the vet did say the antibiotic capsules are time released so she can't chew them. That would be dangerous, which is why I just have to put them in her mouth and rub her neck to coax her to swallow them. Thx for the suggestions, I'll have to remember them if I ever have to give her solid pills💜💜

It's tough when our fur babies won't take pills. I have no problem with Bobby but the cats start foaming at the mouth rather than letting me pop a pill in. A capsule would be tough. I used to have cubes of Spam I'd keep in the freezer when a previous dog needed to take pills.
