One of my best friends grandmother had the biggest lilac tree I ever saw in her front yard when I grew up. I wanted to hang out there every day!! The smell is amazing!!!!!! 💜💜💜

Thanks everyone! I really love flowers and birds, so a picture with both is sort of special for me. Wifey, when we moved into our house 8 years ago, there was a downed tree in the yard. We got rid of it, but the stump was too frustrating to deal with. I worked on it, but eventually gave up. In the spring there were a bunch of suckers that came up from this unknown thing. I decided the subsequent bush that was created was pretty enough to leave alone. Three years later I was looking out my window and noticed some purplish buds had formed. I seriously had no idea we had a lilac! I was so excited! Now it is about 18 ft tall! The crazying thing is that I had always wanted a lilac tree. It was my goal when we finally owned a house to get a tree, but life was busy and we were poor! This was a special gift!

The kitties must be thankful for the new entertainment of the feeder! And that freaking lilac!! You couldn't get rid of it and I can't grow mine lol 🤷♂️❤️

Yes, Tom! Shir, it is so peaceful to watch the birds come! Chris, you can try again any time! You know where I live and can get more cuttings from it to try... Or dig up a sucker... Or maybe it is time to buy your own little tree! 🤔😊
