Draglist's Journal, 26 April 2014

Dropped four pounds overnight and then did an hour on the treadmill to lose two more. Weigh in of 218.4 puts me back where I was after my FIRST return from Ohio a week ago. Now, to head back to the 2-0s... However, I can see that the actual body fat pounds have gone from 30 two weeks ago to 34.6. If the Tanita is to be believed, I have been converting some of those extra carbs to fat... but it makes sense that I would gain three pounds of fat for all that extra eating (compared to the temporary 29 pound water weight gain that I am losing quickly now that I'm back to my routine).

For the rest of the month (and throughout May and until I hit 200 flat), I will target eating 950-1050 calories fewer than I burn each day (whatever my body fat pounds dictates is the maximum amount of fat that can be metabolized on that day). That will give me more to eat on some days and less on others, depending on my exercise those days. Mondays will be used as adjustment days, and we'll toss a Friday in there now and then as needed. Have a great weekend!

Here are the 4/26/14 Tanita Numbers (post 16:8 fast, post 820 calorie treadmill workout):

OHIO? How funny, I just discovered a butcher shop in Ohio where my mom leaves. Leave it to me to look forward to visiting so that I could stock up on sausage and meats. Yeah, I'm a food addict (or foodie as some call us). I think I gained just staring at their pictures. Oh and of course, getting some pierogies too. Since I don't plan to go until I lose at least 55 more lbs. I think I'm ok-- for now. Great to hear of your loss!

Bill, I managed to work 12 pieces of bacon into my diet on Saturday. I didn't even call it being "bad" because I worked it in to my daily calories, I didn't go over and I logged a loss for the weekend. I believe the best of both worlds is when I can have a favorite food while still staying true to my plan. Congrats and great job on coming down in double digits since your return! You're down quite a bit since the last time I poked my head in. For blood sugar reasons alone, I'm thrilled to see this huge correction.
