Katsolo's Journal, 17 September 2021

Argh, day has exploded already and it's a little insane. In the new paradigm of slower dogs, a medium walk is now the long walk and we got one of those in last night. Gorgeous night, cooler, clear skies, perfect for walking. Noticing that going up the hills seem to be the challenge for my old girl so we'll just adjust that. Weight down slightly, blob up though, muscle still holding, might have been water. Stayed on track with calorie goal being lower.

Some hummingbird feathers left behind in the fountain from the early morning bathers and skies from the walk. Happy Friday, enjoy the day. The longest feather is iridescent but doesn't show in this light, you have to move it. This row of trees is one of my favorite parts of the walk.

Hummingbird feathers… it never occurred to me to look for them. Really sweet of you to share the photo. Thank you, and have a peaceful weekend.

This is the first time I've gotten this many feathers all at once. Usually, it's just a single one. Whatever happened, and I'm sure it was a territorial thing, someone got their feathers ruffled. These are from two different kinds of hummingbirds, so I know it was interesting.
