Medium walk last night. Coming to the realization that I need to adjust speed downward for my older girl as she's just not as quick as she used to be and that happens so I'm going to have to figure out a way to get my full workout but not necessarily dragging her around to exhaustion. Not a lot of words today, busy and I have an appointment this afternoon. Puppy class tonight as well. Not sure how I'm going to fit everything in.

I guess I'm surprised muscle is holding but annoyed that the blob is being resistant. So on we go. Head down, pushing forward with the day. Press on, press on.

💚💚⤵⤵🌟🌟! Perhaps you could use a stroller for when she gets tired.

Talked to the vet. We’re going to try some glucosamine supplements and see if that helps. She has some muscle atrophy going on in the hind legs.

We just started the same with Buster three weeks ago. He's been slowing down, too and barely getting in more than just a walk around the block. The stairs in our home he struggles with a bit but thankfully the ones going upstairs are carpeted because it seems to make it easier for him than the others which is good because he is constantly up my butt like my shadow and if I go up, he has to too. I do think he is improving some but I also opted to use a pill for arthritis for a few weeks since she said it takes a few weeks to notice improvement with just the supplement. Anyhow, hope it works for you guys.

My trainer friend recommended these. Pupsup.com. If it works for my girl, we’ll try if for my big guy as preventative since he’s 100# and not overweight. Fingers crossed.

It does change things up when your walking companion can't keep up anymore. It's a sad day when you have to leave them behind in order to get what you need from a walk. We lost our 15 yo husky last summer; the arthritis was brutal.

I used to walk H, drop her off, then do a real walk. These days, she in a stroller in the summer when she starts to huff & puff. Are there knee brace, shoe option? Your GSDs are beautiful, big dogs are beautiful. It's a challenge. Krazy fur baby mom here. I only have 1. She is spoiled.
