Happy Sunday. Yesterday was good, got some stuff done, got a decent swim in - it was hard, but I got it done. Stats to follow. Finally got to spend a couple hours completely alone with BF uninterrupted which has been a real challenge lately. Life.

Challenge this month is for 106.4 miles, doing okay, but I trade strokes for steps some days. The month it was 129 was insanely hard to hit with work and class and life, so I welcome the more realistic goals. One day when I can figure out how far I'm actually swimming, we'll do a challenge there. In the meantime, we stick with strokes, METs and heart rate zones. It's all about me getting better than before, nothing else. I am very happy to have the pool back with less chlorine and no more sharing.

Cool, my laptop just told me my screen time was down 22% last week. That is excellent. We actually sat and watched a whole movie last night, that's really good for both of us. So much going on in the world it's really hard to unplug and let go. God bless our troops right now.

Swim was 860 strokes, 10.8METs (higher, yay!) average heart rate was 149 with 16 minutes in peak and 10 in cardio. I was struggling a bit, but knocked it out anyways. It's interesting how different the water can feel from one day to another. The random playlist I chose was not the best, so maybe that had something to do with it. Mostly, my arms were not as strong as they are on the best days. Always interesting. I think I'm going to sneak in a 10 minute treadmill workout at some point today along with a swim. Dogs need to be walked, but that's separate.

Waffle Sunday? Maybe, we'll see. A little behind the curve so far this morning, but I think I can make it up. Time to walk away from the computer machine in a few. Trying to limit this to twenty minutes all in on weekend mornings since the hours fly by so fast. Blob is up, muscles whimpering for some reason, maybe I didn't kick hard enough and that's why it was so hard? Happens, I'll try and be more conscious of technique next swim.

I have really been craving something sweet the past few days. I need to figure out how to scratch that itch without going overboard at some point. The mini chocolate muffins aren't it, although they're nice to have on hand. Maybe it's Diet Coke? We'll see. Time's up. Enjoy the day! Dog still stinks, but I have pinpointed the next area to work on. Using the baking soda/peroxide/Dawn mix in a paste at this point. He's getting summer highlights. I did discover that a mix of Oxiclean/Dawn and bleach in the washer got the stink out of my white towels. Thought I was going to have to buy new ones. Time's up for real now.

Look at Shasta's expression when Hogan walks by. She's a scent dog. The first day, she kept having to check him to make sure it was him. Comfort eating?

That dog has completely mastered "forlorn." I'm packing that poor deprived starving beast a care package of bacon, sausage, and bisquits as I type. Poor thing.... You should be ashamed.
