Good morning!

It was a nice and fun weekend.

We had guests over, had new perspectives on my future life, and a great band practice, though with a twist.

Our singer kindly asked us to start looking for a replacement. He's gonna be a dad soon, and would like to dedicate time to his family instead. That's completely understandable. I get that.

We'll still get to "borrow" him until we find someone. So it's time to start looking.

...

I did well on my calories yesterday. I ended the day in a 900 calorie deficit, everything was perfect. I actually had to go get 100g of dark chocolate to meet my macro requirements. :) I can live with that.

I hit all numbers absolutely perfect. I was within 1g on protein, fat and fiber. Not bad in a days work.

...

Now, of course this doesn't mean that I can see it on the scale today. No, that would be too easy, wouldn't it? I'm down some since the strangely high weigh-in Sunday morning, but I'm not at a low. There is still a pound to go.

There are many factors that play in, though.

...

(TMI warning!)
I actually did a test of my scale the other day. I found it pretty interesting.

I was gonna go weigh-in, but as I was getting ready to get on the scale, I realized that I had to go to the restroom. #1 and #2.

So, just for fun, I weighed in before AND after, and it was actually interesting to see what the difference was.

Obviously, there was a weight difference. But there was also a drop in both body fat, fluid and muscle weight after the restroom visit.

So whatever we are processing in our body will (obviously) influence the numbers. I have been curious about this, and it's interesting to see that it affects ALL numbers.

This also explains some of the "strange" weigh-ins. Maybe like this morning.

I'm down in weight, but very high in body fat. Fluid is off too.

I know I have done well on the calories, and my training. Wife told me this morning that she sees me getting skinnier around the shoulders, and I can feel my inner thighs getting thinner. My inner thighs are where it all sits first.

...

I woke up a bit late today, and just couldn't get in gear. This also means I am a little behind schedule, so I need to cut my journaling short a bit. Sorry about that.

In a few moments I'll go walk, and as always end up at the gym, for my workout.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Wife
- Sleep. I slept pretty good today. I think I'm getting back to normal life, nice and slow.
- Morning Coffee.
- Diet on track.
- Feeling physically well. Looking forward to gym.

Interesting side note. I would have guessed a drop in weight and muscle but an up-tick in the body fat percentage. Interesting that all three readings drop.

That is a wonderful feeling for parts of your body start to feel smaller. I will feel that way about my stomach soon. It is really starting to stick out there as she grows and yesterday it just felt heavy. Like I wish I could pick it up and carry some of the weight but that's just not possible. :) Trust me I tried. Lol! More then anything I can't wait to go back to lifting heavy. But I will just take this season of life and enjoy it until it passes.

Keld... it wasn't TMI. I think we've all done the "before" and "after" weigh in. Then to comment to ourselves, "so that's where it goes".
