Nikina70's Journal, 06 August 2021

Have not been very good this week. A bit of stress and frustration - par for the course and onward we go.

I did: PHOENIX NATION - 30 Minute Fat Burning Jump Rope Workout At Home
this morning so it's the first week in ages that I did 3 x 30 min workouts for the week. Arms still hurt from Wednesday's workout, but that can only be a good thing.

Didn't meet my goal of 7500 steps per day even though I said 'no excuses' - well I just didn't feel like getting wet yesterday so I've missed a day so far.

It's raining today as well so I'm hoping it will clear this evening for a good hour long walk. This week I did an awful lot of snacking in the evenings - to the point where I also had a small bowl of cereal really late last night. I have no idea why my usual resolve was non-existent, but hopefully next week will be better.

I am 2kg heavier than this time last year. And I was at 72.5kg at the end of May so I'm 3kg lighter than then - so slow and steady might still win this race to a stronger, leaner me.

Three years ago I weighed a whopping 6-7 kilograms less. So strange to think that I was slightly unsatisfied with my weight even then. When I look at photographs now I think I was perfectly fine. Next week I will try to keep below 1500 calories for Mon-Fri to give myself a better chance of a lower average for the week - need some fine-tuning so some planning is needed.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

It’s tough here sometimes when the rain seems endless x if you get a dog you will have to walk daily! 😉 you have been doing gr8 on your workouts though 💪🏻. I’m all over it on the food 3 weeks a month & 1 week it all just 😱. It’s a recent thing. Maybe age related. Maybe discipline 🤷🏻‍♀️. Love your comparison to previous year. You are strong 💕

Nikina, it's tough when the weather isn't outdoor friendly, but you always find a way to get a workout in and that's great! I completely understand what you mean about looking back and thinking, "why wasn't I satisfied with that amount of weight loss?" You're still moving forward and that says that you'll get to where you want to be. You're doing great! 💕👍😊

Thank you Nikina. 💕 It's a lay low weekend for me, not feeling all that great, but I am in the middle of rearranging and redecorating my sewing/guest room, so I will get something done. 😊👍

Hope you feel better soon, CC! Redecorating sounds like a fun project though - enjoy and take care of yourself! 😊💕
