I had to laugh this morning when I stepped on the scale. As you know I'm heading out for a quick 2-day jaunt for some continuing education. In my mind I really wanted to reach 219 by the end of this month, 2-28, but realized I'd be out of town with no scale and the temptations of conference food (where they feed you just to keep you awake I think). So, jokingly I told mom last night I'd be thrilled if when I stepped on the scale it said 219.8 ... close enough for me to go ahead and set my next mini-goal. Guess what? YUP, you've got it. 219.8!!! Yahoo!! WOOT! WOOT!!

I successfully did NOT eat a homemade cupcake during my staff meeting yesterday. I did bring one home to DH and wisely told him that I brought him home one so I would have less temptation to go ahead and eat it. Or mom and I would start rationalizing if we cut it in half and shared then it would be okay. LOL!!

However, no time for my elliptical this morning so a little break in my routine, which really is okay. I get sort of compulsive and I think it is good for me to mix it up. I'm like a toddler. Break my routine and I get cranky. I did want to take time to share with you though ... and get the fire started for Mom ... and make the coffee before I got in the shower to get ready.

I had a difficult time getting to sleep last night. Lots on my mind lately. I'm of course already busy at my full time job and I'm also really trying to build this little "side" business I stumbled onto last summer. I had a kazillion things running through my mind last night. Then of course, I woke up early too ... again ... just a kazillion things running through my mind and I WANT to make sure I get to my destination on time this morning.

And think ... I haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet.

Anyway that's it for now ... I do need to run ... I'm hoping for time to check in later today ... this evening!! Take care, be kind to yourselves as I will as well.

Those 'snacks' at the conference, meant to keep you awake, will actually make you sleepier; more lethargic. Try getting some green tea, fresh water, anything but sugar or you'll crash. But you know this. Congratulations!! Woot!!
