When’s the trip to Florida? Very end of June?

Yes! Not sure this is the best time of the year to go but I guess we'll see. I'm excited! Nervous because I haven't flown in probably 7-8 years and I get anxiety and don't want to figure out airport parking and all that stuff. I just want it to work out perfectly and I will be relaxed when we reach our destination. 3 more days of work which is like 10 days all shoved into 1 week...then off until 7/6.

Princess, I used to use a service that picked me up at home & took me to the airport & then brought me back home when I returned. It's been a while, used to charge about $15 one way (airport is about 45 miles away). I loved it, no parking, dropped me off at the door. You might investigate to see if there's anything like that in your area.

We are kinda smack dab in the middle of Chicago's O'hare, St Louis - Lambert and Indianapolis airport so definitely more than 45 minutes. It will be ok. I research things to absolute death to help with my nervousness and try to know as much as I can about how to go about things...so I already know the parking area I need to be in for Southwest and the cost. Just still makes me sick to my stomach. 🤮😬

I stress until the plane gets into the air, then I'm fine. Have a lovely vacation, don't get sunburned, and enjoy every moment! 💖

I don't fly, I'm terrified. The last time I was on a plane was around 1993 when I went to visit my grandmother. During that time I had 2 fly 3 different times - for training for my job and for a funeral. If I had kept on flying after those 3 trips I probably would be okay. Funny, my dad was an airline pilot and I flew alot when I was younger but just got more and more nervous the older I got. I take vacations that I can drive to. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Fritzy...I have friends who are terrified. I'm a bit nervous but overall I'm fine and I keep telling my kids they'll love it because I don't want to impose any fear on them.

I usually always fly SoWest. I trust them. Safe Journey, God bless you & yours, & stay safe...Amen

We live an hour to hour & a half from the airport depending on traffic. Our friends often stay the night before at a hotel close to the airport, leave their car there (hotel allows it) & take a the shuttle to the airport. This prevents the stress of driving through Atlanta traffic & has actually been cost effective depending on how long their trip was. I'm like Shir...I'm nervous til I get to the gate but then I'm OK. We usually leave early then may have something to eat at the airport before we board. Have a fabulous vacation!

Bringing the kids? Can always have them assist with the GPS and things. Makes them feel smarter than the adults 🤣. No kids this vacation? Then have a realllllyyyyy fun time! 😇😁

I’d rather fly any day. More car disasters than planes any day.

I’m weird but flying is relaxing to me. I zone out listening to music, watch a movie, or take a nap. Yeah, the small amount of leg room sucks and the seats are smaller but once I’ve boarded, vacation mentality kicks in! Hoping you find some flight Zen & if not, that the flight is short, smooth & uneventful. ✈️ enjoy your trip!

Oh m with everyone else! It rush and stress until you sit in your seat and there isn't a thing left for you to do but realize you don't have to work tomorrow! I'm not a fan of flying, but I'm a huge fan of leaving... It will be great. The bits that don't go perfectly, and there will be moments, will be part of the memories that you share together later. Hang tight and enjoy! You guys have earned a get away!!!
