I was supposed to be competing today. It really sucks when you've put a lot of time and effort into training and prepping only to be derailed. Maybe this Fall I'll get another chance? I ran an RPE based program for the last 32 weeks. I figured I'd try conjugate style similar to Westside this time around.

Thanks everyone! My basement flooded at the end of last year and I've been remodeling/rebuilding it. When Spring came out brought rain and I found out there's a leak along one of the walls. I was trying to pinpoint the exact location and seal just the crack. I never found out. So, I Drylocked the whole floor like a pool basically. No more leak! I've got a few more coats to apply this weekend. Then I can get back to training!!

LISfifty - RPE is Rate of Perceived Exertion. It's autoregulation. Meaning you lift based off of how a weight "feels". Instead of percentage based training. Where your lifting weights is based on a percentage of your 1 rep max for a particular lift. I've been lifting weights for 30 years. I started out training for bodybuilding. I lifted that way for over half of that time. Within the last 10 years I switched over to powerlifting.

To have dedicated so much time and effort only to be derailed (regardless of the reason) is such a horrible outcome. I understand your level of dedication (different arena but, I am completing my PhD) and feel for you. Good luck in your future endeavours.
