SPRING CUT - DAY 25
63 Hours Fasted

Definitely hitting the wall. Worst insomnia yet on the back of my melatonin abstention experiment. Wide awake at 1400.

The google surveillance state, not missing a beat, dropped a lecture on the latest research on sleep and dreaming at the top of my youtube feed. Did you know that both suicides and heart attacks spike in the neighborhood of 20% the Monday after the Spring daylight savings shift? That night shift workers have markedly higher all cause mortality? Just a small sample of the myriad purported detriments of sleep deprivation of which the google wants me to be warned. The algorithm cares! It's enough to warm a cynical luddites heart.

Back out just in time for sunrise.

In retrospect, it seems like day 3 is consistently my fasting wall. I both feel kinda shitty and am aware that my body is in high fat torch gear - pooch and handles warm to the touch, strong flux taste, scale compliant, etc. For whatever that's worth...

Fat is gushy to the touch. That's always a good sign. Visibly leaner in the mirror. Belt in another notch yesterday. Jeans fit snug and perfect fresh out of the dryer. Back into my tailored dress shirts without flashing man boob. Kids no longer calling me fat dad or dropping their little "dad bod" comments. All good.

Feeling better after a bunch of coffee. Super productive week so far outside of the cut.

Focus positive. Focus forward.

...you said "Man Boob" 😜🤣 - - But, yeah day 3 is the "This is getting real" day. I caved on my day 3 and ended up in a half a can of Toffee Peanuts... Onward!
