Ouch! Pinched nerves are painful. I remember spending about a week with a heating pad on the couch.

Yes they are! The first time I stayed in the recliner and don’t even want to think about how much Advil I took before going to the dr. She gave me gabapentin. After a couple days of that it felt better and I stopped it after about two weeks so o still have a couple weeks of it left. After 2-3 days in the recliner with a heating pad I started Advil and gabapentin again. Now I also have a pain patch on. It’s finally starting to work!

First thing in the morning stinks lol. The meds kick in after about 2 hours. By the mid afternoon pill I’m feeling good! I tried a generic pain patch and it seemed to help after about an hour but only lasted an hour rather than the 8 it said. Was trying to get my trap to loosen up a bit because when it’s not tight it doesn’t hurt much. I have 2-3 more brands to try.

Thx! It’s not so bad... I’ve had worse lol. Working through the pain patches and the thermal heating one isn’t near as warm as it was when I used them 15 years ago! I’m finding if I can sit in the recliner or nap with my travel U pillow for a couple hours each afternoon then it’s not near as bad. So it’s the way I hold my head when reading, on my phone, cooking, doing housework etc that’s causing the pinched nerve. Not sure how I can change that posture for most of it. I can’t cook looking straight ahead after all! But the pain is only bad the first few hours of a morning. I just sit here and do stuff on my phone or sit in the recliner or whatever until the gabapentin kicks in. Honestly most mornings I’m perfectly fine doing just that then getting stuff done in the afternoons.
