Katsolo's Journal, 01 January 2021

We ended up having crab cakes and champagne last night instead of paella because they didn't have any seafood medley and fresh seafood got crazy expensive for some reason. Probably NYE. Tasty, but super salty. I guess that's obvious in retrospect. Not working today, plans to walk and swim. held back on the champagne so that I would be able to swim today instead of hiding in bed or barely functioning with a hangover. It's cold though. Inside house is 59, colder outside. found a new episode of The Grand Tour on Prime and it was nice to laugh so hard and spend some real down time together where neither of us had a phone or computer pulling at us.

Did a long walk early last night, hit my December exercise goals a day early, so happy. Totally ready to move forward this new year.

I'm going to work on increasing my endurance this year. That's been bugging me in the pool, so obviously room for improvement there. I can hold my breath for well over a minute, so it's doable.

Keeping it short, stuff to do. Happy 2021! We survived the last one, we can make it through this next one.

This will drop super easy, possibly later today, I'll let you figure out how that works on your own.

Crab cakes sound delicious! I tried to order crab from our grocery store but they only offered imitation. So we just had leftover snacks from Christmas that I had tucked away in the freezer. Great job on exceeding your goal!!! Have a great day!!!

LOL, Chris I don't know if I'll shatter them, but I can do better and that's the big thing. I know I'm stronger, and I do try for consistency. what I really need is a personal chef, a personal trainer, and a housekeeper. 🤪🤪🤪 Until then, I'm just gonna stay on here and keep logging my progress. I have some things I want to do once the pandemic restrictions are lifted. Beyond eating out and crazy stuff like that. 🤪 Bear, I got them at Costco and while the meal was higher in calories than my norm, they were just as good as eating out and we air fried them for crunch (8 minutes at 400). It was the Phillips brand, who does the can of lump crab meat (also excellent) and they were so good. Not a lot of filler, just taste. BF is a marylander, so he's super picky.

How disappointing! I wanted to see your paella! 😜😂 now seriously: I wish you an ordinary 2021, where friends and family can be hugged, smiles are not covered by masks, and we all can feek a little less worried

there will be paella and get-togethers soon, I hope. I wish the same for everyone.
