Debbie Cousins's Journal, 30 December 2020

Down a pound this morning, hallelujah! I'm now made 4.17% progress toward my goal of losing 60 pounds in 6 months. Snacks are now apples and oranges instead of Little Debbie cakes and homemade fudge. I'm still allowing 1-2 Jackstraws (111 calories each) while we've got them. Even though I've allowed for 2,250 calories a day, I've been maintaining less than 2,000, and I'm finding ways to bring that down even more (like having 3/4 cup of cereal instead of 1 cup, etc.)

Is everybody ready for the 1st? If you haven't started back on your weight-loss program yet, now is the time to be stocking your fridge and freezer with the things you'll need to have healthy choices that fit into your particular "diet" plan. Also, consider throwing OUT the things that will be a temptation to you (instead of trying to hurry up and EAT them all, LOL)! May God give you the determination (WILL to) and the plan (HOW to) to reach all of your goals in the New Year.

Great Job Debbie! Thank you for the reminder to stock up the house with healthy choices. I have been putting healthy snack items in Ziploc bags and making grab and go stuff. Even freezer items are broken down for quick use. I cook and freeze fresh veggies as I am tired of wasting food, and tired of cleaning them out of the fridge, lol.
