I'm not sure if it's doomsday prepping, hebrews1036, but it can feel like doomsday. I only had 1,078 calories yesterday. I would have had more, but I lost track of time and it got past 6 pm on me before I thought about the snack I was gonna have. One of my rules is to not eat anything after 6 pm, and it was 6:18, so I skipped my snack. 😩 Obviously, it helped me with my weigh-in this morning though. 🙂

One of the most beautiful things about being retired, Shrewdness, is that everyday is the weekend! 😃 Everyday is Saturday to me, and it's fantastic!

Keeping goals small and realistic are good. I wanted to eat better nutrition and weight loss just happened. I will meet my current goal within the week, and possibly even another 5 pounds by the New Year. Kicking back with a couple of drinks on the weekends doesn't help, but then I have come so far. I made the usual fudge and peanut brittle as little gifts yesterday and just had a taste only. Sweet stuff no longer appeals to me. I missed bread, but have rye or sourdough bread now only on weekends with eggs rather than the usual oatmeal. It is true that without all the gluten and sugar and bad stuff, we stop craving the crap! You are doing great...keep on going as I plan to.

Neither am I, Melissa! I'm not taking the whole week off again, like I did for Thanksgiving, but Christmas Eve and Christmas I'm giving myself the day off! A gift! 🎁 From me, to me. Thank me!! I'm welcome! 😝

I agree Lonnie, the Holidays are for rejoicing and being kind to ourselves and others! Enjoy! Great loss also!

The biggest thing I miss when I'm dieting, Fiberoptic, is getting to eat until I'm full. I think one of my problems has always been portion control. I wanna eat every meal until I'm stuffed. 🐷
