oh dear lord, that's awful. when our power went out for almost eight hours a while back, I ended up crushing beans with a hammer in a plastic bag because I needed my caffeine. hang in there, you can do this.

Oh dear, that is a tragedy! 😁 Mine can never "break down" because I use an Italian moka pot on my stove... I guess the stove could break down. ❤️ Good luck! 😁

Had to google Italian Moka pot. Is it the same as a French press, kinda?

No, wifey, it is more like a reverse espresso maker. The water from the bottom is forced as more or less steam through a tub up through the grounds and into the top reservoir. It is cheap, fantastic, and the only coffee pot we use at our house. I add a bit of boiling water (it is very strong like espresso) and cream. Perfect every time!!! 😁

Oh goodness. I want one. You put it right on the burner?
19 Oct 20 by member: wifey9707
Yep, straight on the burner! We use an espresso ground, but just medium roast bean. We fell in love with making coffee like this in Florence a couple years ago! I think our moka pot cost about $12 from Amazon. The "six cup" (not even six espresso shots worth) is the perfect size to make a big mug full! 😁

Sounds so good. I feel like I can smell it! 🙃 Girl, I think you really know coffee!! I don’t really, but I know I love it. If I ever got into ‘real’ quality like I think you know very well, I’d be in big trouble!!! I refrain now with two cups a day, but I would love to drink it all day long!!!! ☕️☕️❤️☕️☕️

Sad. I've got back up pots in case that happens. It's also for the safety of others around me. 😁
