I'm so glad, liv001. I was worried I might have lost my knack. I just can't let myself lose control again. I didn't realize how sick I was until I started feeling better. Now I feel so great that I just can't go back.

So glad you are feeling better. Do you know how you got something wandering around the great outdoors?

One pound!! I know!! Oh, Melissa. I'm gonna be so glad when I get that one pound off, because you know I've had my little splurges before, and the damage I did only took a day or two to correct. This time though, it's taking twice as long, and I'm not done yet. It must have been the tequila. That stuff apparently also makes my weight-loss chart loopy. I'm glad I appear to be stabilizing now. I gotta tell you though, I think I'm gonna hafta have a talk with Kevin. He thinks my willpower is really strong, and it is, BUT ... We came back to Clarkston to pick up our grocery order. We used Walmart's curbside service and he placed the order, so I didn't know what we were getting until he was putting everything away. He got a lot of bad things in this order, Melissa. He got many more good things than bad, but he got those mini candy bars again and my two favorite types of cookies. He would also have gotten a carrot cake, but they were out of stock, thankfully. Bless his heart though, he did buy them all in small, single-serving packaging, so we can have them a little at a time. I'm not mad at him, but it makes my job to stay healthy harder. Kevin has a sweet tooth, and he eats that stuff and nothing happens to him. He has some sorta industrial-strength body, he eats whatever he wants, and he gets full after three bites. He has no weight problems naturally somehow, while I'm like a fat magnet, it just kinda hops on me when I get too close to it. I think he did it because we're headed into the boonies again, and we're stocking up for the road, so I may wait to see if he does it again before I say anything. I'll be busy summoning my willpower to not get too close to all those treats for a while though.

No, I haven't had a cold or anything, Joelmel. Thanks for your concern though. When I said I didn't realize how sick I was, I meant when I was fat, had pre-diabetes and high cholesterol. At the time I thought I felt pretty good. I just had pulls I would take. Now that I'm thin and don't have to take medication anymore, I also don't have aches and pains like I used to have. My mind is clearer, like a fog was lifted. I have not only more energy to do things, but more of a desire to get out and do something, to see what else I can do. I also feel better about myself, and I've gained a confidence and pride moreso than I had before. I really didn't anticipate how much losing that weight would transform my life in so many wonderful ways.

Sometimes I ask my husband to hide his cookies and candy so I am not tempted. It really helps if it's out of sight, especially if it's on top of the fridge where I have to climb up on a stool to reach it! I also keep fat bombs in my freezer for legal instant chocolate cravings. Maybe you will get enough hikes to balance out those mini candy bars!

I'm sorry Lonnie my sister goes through that with her man. she wants to quit smoking but he refuses. I used to tell my wife that same thing if it doesn't go in the cart it can't go in my mouth. it's difficult. takes aot of discipline to retrain our brains to think differently. of course now that's not an issue. it's me a tree frog and 2 hamsters. and the kids every other weekend lol. they eat what I cook. I feel you man. no advice or help I guess but I feel you.

Luckily, he does keep them out of sight, Texasgranny6. He's not very devious though, so his hiding places aren't very good. I'm pretty good at resisting though. I've already had cookies in the cupboard and haven't touched them. Those chocolate bars are going to be calling to me though, I fear.

Lonnie - glad to hear that you didn't have a bug. I know what you mean about feeling better. I'm only 5 months and 50 pounds in but I feel a lot better. I had HUGE tummy issues before and the doctor wants me to start eating 2 slices of bread a day for 30 days so they can do a biopsy to see if I have celiac disease and I've said, NO. It wasn't until I was faced with going back to feeling so awful that it hit me how much better I feel today. I haven't had any bread since April and I think my gut is healing. I'm going to let it keep healing and stay away from processed carbs for another 50 pounds.
