Whoopsies! I should probably wait until the weight gets back down before spiking it again... ah well.

I just smashed it on squats and deadlifts yesterday and my body was screaming for more calories than I had budgeted.

I'm so glad I listened; it was fun to pig out and I'm quite sure it did more repair than damage 😊

Rest day today before linking up with L2E tomorrow! Yaay! ❤

Hey!!! Enjoy your visit with Love2! I'm sure your body needed those extra calories building that massive muscle! 😁 I used the lifting straps for the first time today! Cool!!!! My grip was very aided! 😁 Thanks for helping me find them! They are surprisingly simple to use!

Yeah! I'm really happy! I think I'll have to be really careful to keeping tension in my shoulders to support the weight. I have an shoulder that isn't perfect, and it feels a bit extra fatigued tonight. Maybe I was letting it hang a bit.

Or, I was just doing extra rows using my beautiful bench and that is why it is a bit sore. 😁 But, it is so, so much better and stronger than when I first started at the gym last fall. Lots of physical therapy to fix it, and it was just working it an fgeyting stronger that has had the most success!

Ooh- I love new gym stuff! Actually I love my old worn out stuff, too. :) Glad you like the straps. Never tried any but am considering.

Hahah! Erq, my arms get too worn out when I am lifting because I'm using them to hold the weight to work my lower body. After a while doing different squats, deadlifts, etc... My grip is giving out, because the weight is too heavy. The straps help me hold the weight and still be working my lower limbs! 😁

It is a problem of not being able to use a bar across my shoulders for squats or a leg press at a gym. I'm just doing what I can at home with what I have. 😁

Princess, I'm really pleased with the ones Chris suggested... Not that I've tried others! They have a bit of padding and they are stiff enough to easily flip around the bar with a thumb. I'm sure I will get better at using them in time. I was even able to easily do farmer carry without hand fatigue!

Wait- You wash your gym stuff? Is that something we are supposed to be doing? 😳 I wash my clothes and I was my hands... but I don't wash my gloves. They are perfectly form fitted to me and molded with filth, germs, and sweat. 🤷🏻‍♀️

😜 I sweat when I lift but not like when I do cardio. I only have gloves and my little bar pad for hip thrusts and squats. My gym stuff consists of phone and ear buds, gloves, water bottle, gum (ice cubes), and now my little rope and pad depending on the day. I have my hands full. Last week I walked out with my spray bottle of sanitizer from PF. It blended in with the other stuff.

Glad you’re feeling all better and are back to the gym. That sounds like you had a killer work out, so jealous!! Enjoy your weekend!

Well, that goes to show how much I know... Not a lot! 😁 I'd never done "farmer carry" until the other day and it was a Nope! There was no way I could hold the dumbbells after having finished my work out. I thought it was sort of easy shuffling around my living room with the staps and wondered if I marched with high legs if I'd get more of a workout! Guess I had it wrong! 😁

You guys make me almost thankful I can't go to the gym... Well not really. I "perspire" so much I'm dripping all over. My hip pad is a thickly rolled blanket since I was getting horrible bruises from the darn dumbell! 😁 But, when I go back to the gym, Princess, I'm buying a pad for using a bar for squats. I think our pf has a single one! I was always ranging far and wide in my search and often lingering next to somone using it. In order to snap it up when they were done! I often did squats without and again got so bruised!

Melissa, that isn't what I've read about farmers carry's or carries. I've read it's a great full body without. Diablo does this often. Maybe athleanx guy said it but anyhow... 💪🏼👍🏼

I love farmers carries and use kettlebells or trap bar. The closest I get to it while gyms are closed in NYC is lugging 2-3 gallons of water in each hand from the car most likely not parked on my block and up to third floor walk up 🤣 Target brand on 1 gallon waters has the best handle for that lol. The regular jugs are more difficult. We do what we gotta do 🤷‍♀️

when your body screams for energy it means that your fasting insulin levels are higher than 10 and blocking your body's ability to access stored fat.

Sadly, Chris has no excess fat! Any scrap of it is required to keep him alive and kicking! 😁 Oh... And lifting!

I'll try them again, Princess! 😊 Lowkey, your forearms must be seriously burning after caring jugs like that. Gosh!
