Started pre-planning daily intake. Before breakfast I record what I plan to eat for the day, then I do my best not to stray from that. Also, less TV at night. I think that really helps.
119.2 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 4.2 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
losing 1.2 lb a week

You are right about the tv. But it’s down time. Tv ok snack for me is not good.

Pre planning helps me a TON! It keeps me on track and makes it easier than standing in front of the fridge going “hmmmmmmmm...what should I eat?”. I do try to keep in mind that there will be times when that plan blows up and I have to change that so I try to keep a back up plan in my mind always.

Thank you, najwa kale & Betheroo. During this time I have been watching more TV than I normally would and I seriously think that the studies that show that people snack more when they watch tv are true...that there are subliminal msgs sending you for food!!! So, I did cut back on that. Soon I will start more online university classes so I will not have time for TV...better for the weight AND the brain! Betheroo...thank you for sharing about your pre-planning efforts. That gives me hope that it will work. So far it is helping. I need to lose just a little more because of my cholesterol: it isn't real high, just slightly over 200, but I have heart valve disease, so it needs to be lower. I do not eat any cholesterol, so this is what my body makes. I can't take statins as they cause me pain, tried red yeast rice (per dr) works great but eventually it caused pain also. Can't exercise more due to health problem. So I am reallly stuck with the only alternative being to lose a little more weight. So, the struggle continues!!!
