Debbie Cousins's Journal, 18 February 2020

Well, I did better yesterday than I HAD been doing. On the positive side, I got in 16 ounces of water (up from ZERO); I walked one mile; I didn't eat everything I WANTED to during the day; and I kept up with all the other stuff on my To Do List. I did go ahead and have HALF of that other chicken breast on a salad for dinner, but I gave the other half to my husband. To "reward" me for being so generous, he offered me that cinnamon roll I had salvaged for him. I yielded to his gracious temptation! But, it was ONE cinnamon roll in a day, instead of the 5-6 I had been eating every day last week - so that's an improvement.

I was pleasantly surprised with the scale going down this morning. I didn't expect a 3-pound loss, but I'll thankfully take it! I WILL say that I am VERY tempted this morning to make up a batch of Tapioca pudding. It adds about 800 Calories to my day and puts me WAY over on Net Carbs - so it would be a big self-sabotage. Still, the thought keeps going around in my head. I've already yielded to a can of Diet Coke with my breakfast. Sigh.
218.0 lb Lost so far: 41.0 lb.    Still to go: 68.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Do not, I repeat do not make tapioca pudding! You know you can't resist overeating it so don't sabotage yourself! Making good choices helped with a 3 lb. drop. Focus on making those kinds of choices 😊

I make a version of it with sugar free cheesecake jello and miracle rice. The whole entire box of jello, 1 bag of miracle rice and the required milk is under 100 calories. It makes a giant bowl too. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on it.

Debbie it is a work in progress. Just pat yourself on the back for all the good. Dust yourself off and keep on trucking. You will get there.

Excellent. Back to logging - Reasonable Well on How Well Followed. Soon, you will be logging 100% again like you did early Jan. Carry on.

Debbie Cousins, this whole idea just popped into my mind: SAVOR that weight loss! Really TASTE it! ENJOY the feeling of accomplishment. Three pounds: let it ROLL OFF YOUR TONGUE. Imagine this: there is ONE MILE of blood vessels for every pound not on your body. Three pounds equals THREE TIMES more than the mile you walked today! THREE MILES that your HEART doesn't have to deal with. Get up and DO A LITTLE JIG! "CE-LE-BRATE three pounds, c'mon!"

I feel ya here Cuz! I have been struggling to get in one 8oz glass of water in addition to all the sweet tea that I've been drinking...better than my squirt which someone has helpfully been drinking for me...

I have a sweet tooth that was giving me a hard time. I now make a batch of sugar free pudding with fat free milk and put it in rocks glasses. At night I have 1 with lite cool whip and feel satisfied for under 100 calories. I tried to use almond milk because the calories are so low but the pudding didn't set.
