Debbie Cousins's Journal, 25 January 2020

Didn't go right to sleep after taking my Ambien last night. The saucer and crumbs on my nightstand tell me that I ate a Pinwheel cookie after going to bed. I know I only ate ONE because there is still one left in the back of the refrigerator drawer. Sigh. I haven't been losing any weight this week. I might actually end up with a GAIN. Usually (in the past), I have been able to lose weight rather rapidly, even with my RDI for Calories at 2000. Guess I'm going to have to re-evaluate for next week. I admire those of you who can lose weight very slowly or even stay the same and remain encouraged and optimistic. I'm working on it!
207.2 lb Lost so far: 51.8 lb.    Still to go: 57.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You are on a new journey. It is different and will take you to a different place. Have a lot of patience. There is no magic

Yep, slow and gradual over time is what has stuck for me. And, when I wander off track, with exercise or food, it's usually best for me to get back on track as soon as I can. The longer I go off track, the harder to get back the momentum. You've done really well

I had to stop taking Ambien a few years back, I was eating during the night, and not remembering, also, I ordered things online, which I think I mentioned before...Ambien is not for everyone, I stopped slowly with my doctors help and now sleep well without it....

Your weight is holding steady. You are walking more and being healthy. You are building muscle and having a new positive outlook as you decrease medicine. One pinwheel cookie as you reduce meds? Lady, don't let it stop your success. Proud of you. :0)

Are you more active while continuing to eat the same? You could be building muscle at the same rate you are losing fat. It may be time to decrease the calories a small amount. I had to do that to continue losing. Patience and positivity takes practice. You seem pretty positive to me!
