Day 1 of a planned 4 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting

My original plan was to not eat until dinner, but @PrincessValerie wanted to try the Popeyes chicken sandwich (it really *is* that-good). We walked 3 miles there and back. I was tired and I planned to spend the rest of the day watching TV. However, what that really means is that I will eat all day. So I decided to run because I can’t eat while running…

I made more enhancements to the FatSecret Data Exporter at:

https://fatsecret.azurewebsites.net/

I got tired of having to click to get a Fat Secret authorization token and entering it every time I wanted to pull my latest data. However, I couldn’t save the token without requiring the user to log in. When you have a membership management system, you now have to have verified accounts to deal with the spammers… the problems go on and on.

So, I decided to just implement Google login. Most people have a Google account, and once you are logged in I can securely save your Fat Secret token. Most people stay logged into their Google account in their web browser, so when you come to the site you are already logged in. Now you can just click the buttons to download the data. I also removed the step to require you to rename the data export files before loading them into PowerBI.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!
