Still making poor food choices. Took mom to the doc for her shoulder shots. He said he thought she would be a good candidate for a total shoulder replacement. Of course we would prefer to avoid surgery, but if the pain gets to be unbearable, maybe she'll try it.

After the appointment, mom wanted to pick up BBQ since my brother was coming over for a visit. It started with just the two of us out placing the order. I told mom I wanted a small sandwich and she was disappointed because she wanted a plate with sides. She got pouty because she didn't want to be the only one ordering a large meal. So she talked me into also getting a bbq plate and chose a bbq plate for my brother too. After we got back to her house to meet my brother, he said he had eaten a big lunch but mom kept insisting he eat BBQ. Somehow he resisted, which is good because he's at least 100 lbs overweight and is on diabetes meds. So with all of us there (Mr C too), mom was in full mother-hen feeding mode. After dinner, mom wanted us to eat cookies and asked me at least 5 times to eat a cookie, even though I kept refusing. This after she saw that I had already shared a piece of cake with Mr C! I don't remember it being quite that bad growing up, but when we kids get together now, Mom's force-feeding behavior is extreme. Piling things on plates, offering sweets repeatedly. It's abnormal. I'm spending more time with her right now because she needs more help, so trying to maintain weight loss is going to be tricky.
194.2 lb Lost so far: 17.8 lb.    Still to go: 44.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

My mom was the same way, but not quite as extreme.
