Yesterday was the 1st of 2 halloween parties this weekend. I some how managed to eat well over 3k cals 😯🤗 It’s all good. I also started my cycle today.
Today was squat day (I hit 115# 2x3!!) and my “gym crush” talked to me! Lol Not an actual crush 😅 but this girl is literally the only other female in my gym trying to gain strength not just run or there to look hot (With there legging pulled so far up their ass crack that they have to pull their leggings out of their crotch every 5 seconds 🙄 🤦‍♀️) I’ve mentioned her before. She squats Heavy but is tiny. She gave me some tips and warned me not to push the weights before I’m ready. She said she injured herself and had to take months off to recover with physical therapy. She was hesitant to critique me but I welcome it. I can’t actually see myself so it’s great to be able to get some feedback.
I told her I wanted to get up to body weight and she joked about doing cardio to drop weight 🤣🤣 I said hell no 😆 I’d rather go heavier 😜
I haven’t been getting very sore from my workouts. But I can feel my glutes whimpering right now. Deadlifts then squats 😳 alway a recipe for pain! 😁

Thanks guys 😃😃 My workout felt great and it is really cool to be able to talk to someone about lifting, especially in person 😁 I wish I hadn’t been so winded. I had just finished my second set at 115# I forgot to introduce myself 🙃 I see her at least once a week though. So maybe next time 😄

HBC I went through countless weeks of hobbling through work after my leg days 😫😆 I thought I might die the first time I did squats and they were just body weight Lololol

That is awesome to have someone you respect IRL to talk to about your workout! I hope your "crush" becomes a friend! 😁 It is so relatable that you found just body weight squats enough to make your legs feel so sore. Me too! I waited until I could do about 100 before adding weight, because I had a hip that would bother me (an old injury). For me it is a triumph to be able to now squat with 75 pounds with ease. You are certainly the "leg day" hero around here! 😁

I can't do squats... or won't do squats- whichever you prefer.😁 I try to just do leg press, curl, extensions, romanian dead lifts, and hip thrusts- but I know in my ❤ that I need to add them. 😭🦵🏼

and about the underwear, I have that question. I wonder what kind of underwear people use at the gym, or they just don't use it. underwear while exercising is very uncomfortable for me! 😐
