The scale hasn’t moved down, but today I woke up and I felt for the first time since before I got pregnant or truly still in my very early pregnancy that I felt I had a defined waistline. I checked in the mirror and Yep! There it was, a waist. Sure I was sucking in my gut, but still it was there! My uterus has significantly shrank, and I’m no longer swollen in my abdomen. What I’m left with is just abdominal fat from carrying my child. I ordered size 18 work jeans today from the Carhartt store. My goal is to get toA size 12. That is quite thin for me at my house. And while I say “thin” I really thin, lean, muscular and defined. i’d like to get back to running soon. Just a 1 mile a day routine that keeps me feeling energized. And I’d like to return to lifting weights, resistance training and the nautilus room at my YMCA. One more week and I’m medically cleared for sex and exercise :-) I’ll be getting an IUD for birth control as we would preferred to wait a couple of years in between children. Sure I’m old, but these guys are not having Irish twins. My brain might break. Not to mention my body. Those are my Thursday morning thoughts for everyone, I’m off to a lactation consulting appointment, I hope everyone’s having a beautiful morning and enjoying some caffeine or whatever it is you fancy.
