KayBuckaroo's Journal, 24 September 2019

I’m gonna journal because apparently I’m in a relationship where my SO is always on his &$@“!?!! phone so I am coming here to vent. I’m so in need of a nap, a hug, to yell or cry, and I’m fighting with my false sense of hunger as a result. I’m already at my 1900 calories goal and it’s not even 3pm. I’m thinking 🤔 this falls under the category of baby blues but it’s definitely understandable that we feel this way after we give birth. I was hesitant to say anything to the OB because isn’t it really predictable? I mean, it’d be weird if I didn’t have a bundle of heavy duty hairy Cary emotions bubbling up and down right? I’m not feeling much other than mad at my friends and irritated for carrying on without me, resentful towards Steven for his constant inattentiveness, guilty about my children and falling short for them, feeling self conscious about how much weight I have gained and how people must be whispering “boy did she blow up, eh?” Alas I must digress because it’s all I can do to keep from crying because I’m so damn grateful and so incredibly lucky. Having gone through a birth trauma and NICU stay put me at high risk for PPD anxiety and depression.

Hugs, Kay! Find a quiet time (I know, tough with kids) and talk to Steve about your feelings. Especially about the phone.

Cry and yell sister! Take a nap if you can. Have you devoted time for just yourself? Maybe a bubble bath with a good cry. Big ole hugs for you.

@Kay you need to calm down... breath. First of all you must eat a healthy amount you just had a baby. If you are hungry eat, just make the better choice.

Awwww let it all out. Hoping you feel better by now as I’m seeing this hours later. Talk it out with your fam. They need to hear all you said. Don’t keep it to yourself or to fs only. Praying you have a better day. 💕💕

As you know, this will pass. You will succeed. You are a GREAT Woman capable of amazing things. It's totally OK to feel the way you feel. My baby girl just turned 6 months. I'm on FS because I was so frustrated and down about not losing anything but water weight after 3.5 months. Returning to work in my maternity clothes made me super self conscious. C-section. SO my BFF kept telling me 'you must heal first.' It takes time. Vent all you want, but in the end be patient with your body. Now I'm 20# from my goal. 3 months to complete the "9 months on 9 months off" cycle. Here for you. It is SO frustrating and you are entitled to your feelings. Sending Love and Healing vibes!

HUGS!!!! Please vent, after giving birth, spouses don’t always get it right. And he may be retreating into his phone for a “break.” But where does that leave you? Wait till you’re not feeling emotional and let him know “I feel like you’re on your phone more and I’d like you to limit it, could you agree to that?” Or something relatively neutral. Just don’t be surprised if he’s defensive, just make sure to say how you’re feeling and ask for help or support. Vent all you need, I was 5’5” 200+ pounds and needed to be here for a full year to lose weight till now and my third little one is 13 months now. It does take time to heal! Be as kind and generous to yourself as if you were a stranger here on FS 😃💕🌈💜✨💞😊

Late to the thread again Starting with it’s perfectly okay for you to share your emotions with your FS family because you know we support you regardless Sassy Girl !!! Being a brand new mom again is exhausting but what a rewarding life you have to look forward to 💕 As Astrid grows into her own beautiful little personality Steve will become more attentive to both of you sharing the joy of parenting This is all new to him so please share your concern over the phone time Is this a new thing or just seems more annoying when you are really looking for that loving attention he gave you before Surprise him ! Be the one to give him that hug He needs it too!
