Day 1 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting

I had a lot of stressful work to do this weekend that had me in a time crunch and no time to exercise other than a 4 mile walk with @PrincessValerie.

I did so much mindless eating that I swear if I didn’t have the ‘no solid food fasting’ during the week, I know I would eventually gain all the weight back and then some with no-end-in-sight.

Basically the fasting has provided me a freedom from ‘myself’. Rather than constantly trying to ‘fight my normal eating habits’ I just adapt to them. I only get hungry and start to ‘binge’ when I eat solid food. Solution? Stop-eating-solid-food (most of the time).

Also, I stopped listen to people who told me I am wrong 😁👍🏾.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Adefwebserver great job! I am having hard time with my fasting.😑You do your thing😀. The problem is that we always think that we are right and the other person is wrong jaja.

Doing what works for you is the best! I've started fasting more. Nothing like you, but I skip a day here and there. For one, it helps just take my focus off food. 😁 Your dedication is admirable for sure!

It is a unique way of life as far as I know. Find on my journey that what is 'right' change every now and then. Admirable that you have the power to control things as you do. My only concern is nutrition, but with your power, you will for sure bring change there as needed.

Adef, I admire your determination to reach your goal and see that you have lost 56 pounds since 2011. You even were at your goal at one point; awesome. This is just "food for thought". If, God forbid, you contracted an autoimmune disease that prevented you from fasting, what would you do to control your weight? I don't expect an answer. This is your life and your way of eating. Just know that some cannot fast and have developed strategies to keep the weight from returning. 💕

it's like our scales are in sync. I hope this week is less stress

@Erquiaga - I would have to take the weight hit and be fat again. This is not something I would want, but, there are worse things in life. I *have* been obese for 95% of my adult life.

Fasting definitely has a purpose in a focused nutrition plan. I'm doing a version of it now and it's working great and I have good energy. Hopefully you have good success as well!
