jaime30024's Journal, 17 January 2013

Well, the reduced carbs have jogged my weight loss..yay!!! I have reset my goal for the next 5#'s which is putting me in the 202's. I wanted to put it at 199....but I have my goals and neeed to stick to them. 5# at a time. I am now ahead of schedule for my mini goals and that makes me feel good.

Dental appointment was cancelled yesterday so I rode into DH for no reason. Staying home today but as soon as work is done riding with daughter to pick up my truck and follow her to drop her car. Then we will get her transcripts and DH will meet us at Navy Recruiter. Daughter went in and told the Army Recruiter that she wanted her folder that she was not going to join anything and he got all pissy with her and told her that he would just shred it. I am sure that DH will pop his head over today to ensure that he in fact did shred it since he did not want to give her the folder.

So another busy day today. Daughter will be tired. Maybe we can squeeze her in an afternoon nap, and then an evening nap before she has to into work tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day. Fight the temptations and drink plenty of water.

Mini goals are great tools - best of luck reaching your next one! Wishing your daughter all the best - so hard being young and trying to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life.

Thanks Buffy. It is hard to be that young ad know what you want to do. I am hopeful that this will open some new opportunities for her. She loves being an NAR and the heatlhcare field and she is hopeful that is where she will land again, but I told her that you never know what new opportunity my show up.

Congrats on the mini goal!! Like you said, and I believe that sticking to just #5 mini goals is the way to go. We all know what our "ultimate goal" is, but when you just focus on those #5, it just is so much easier and less frustrating. Best of luck on your next #5!! I can't believe they got so pissy w/your daughter, that is just so wrong in my eyes. I really hope everything works out for her!

Thanks y'all! Yes - I could not believe that this guy got so hateful to her and he is the one that has been dragging his heels and not being very helpful at all. Now suddenly he is all mad about it.

You are doing fantastic, Jaime. Hope that the Navy recruiter is more cooperative than the Army one was. Sure hope it works out for your daughter. Have a wonderful evening!

Great Job Jamie!! So glad you've finally kicked that old mini goal and starting the next. I know you've been looking so forward to it. Best wishes to your daughter. It's a shame that the recruiters are so hateful sometimes but it's all about their commissions to them. Hope she has much better luck with the Navy--they're generally a little more laid back!
