cocobutt's Journal, 01 August 2010

I dreamt I ate several handfuls of marshmallows before I realized what I was doing. I felt horrified and that I couldn't erase the damage.

Lots of negative emotion yesterday from hubby being stressed and moody. He's not mean, but I'd rather be alone than to share a house with him when he's grouchy.

Went to the dog park late yesterday. It's still stiflingly hot, around 100 degrees with humidity and no wind. It drains our good energy. We ended up getting takeout instead of cooking. Split a steak and veggie dinner. Not too much damage really.

Geez, I'm a Debbie Downer today. I woke up with a slight no-caffeine headache. It will probably take a few weeks to really recover from that addiction.

Tonight I'm going to Mar's to watch Rubicon and Mad Men. Must say NO to BBQ. What shall I have instead? Maybe a couple of spring rolls and a peach?

What an insightful dream! Great work staying on track! You're system may be different, but I've found it only takes a few days to detox from caffeine. Good luck.

Maybe the green tea is still feeding my caffeine addiction. I used it as a crutch to get off coffee, but I've read only positive things about green tea. I also read that decaffeinated green tea lacks the same anti-oxidant punch that regular tea has, so not sure what to do about that.

why are you dropping caffine?? did i miss something in your post? What is Mar's, besides the planet? Take you a baggie full of veggies and/or some air popped popcorn? Try to stay focused........Believe you can do it.

If I have to eat out, I usually go for a small steak and salad with low-cal dressing.

lol - I love the marshmallow dream! Marshmallows are my Achilles heel. I cannot stop eating them! That is just how I feel when I start eating them too. I was going to ask the same thing about the caffeine. I was wondering what your motivation for doing that. I also wondered if it might be better to cut back slower, fewer withdrawal problems.
