Day after gym. I didn’t think any machines I did worked the lower back but I must’ve been wrong. Or I slept wrong. So stiff and sore this morning. Mainly just the lower back to bottom of shoulder blades and my right shoulder. It’s laundry day so I’ll stretch it out soon enough.

Looks like harvest will start this weekend if it doesn’t rain. With the cooler temps this spring and the rain the last few weeks harvest is starting 1-2 weeks later than usual. Not sure if I’ll be driving the combine or just helping move equipment and cooking meals. If the latter then I’ll be able to still eat healthy. If the former then it’ll be anything I can grab and eat on the go. Lots of sandwiches, hotdogs and the like. Plus the gym will be on hold I think. Hubby cuts from the first dry sample of a morning and until the straw gets tough if an evening. Some days that means 10am to 10pm. Usually 8-9pm but he will have to dump and put up the equipment and each morning get it back out and everything ready. We will see just how well I do without being able to track everything and making less healthy choices. I think my best bet is to buy and pack a lot of things like bananas and string cheese. It’s dirty work so I need things that can be easily cleaned up to eat (packaging or peel) quickly and a lot of it. I either eat a lot when cool or once too hot I won’t eat at all and I get weak. Gonna start planning now and hope I find a decent meal plan that we can stick to. 😁

Good planning. You know it's coming but aren't going to use it as an excuse to be mindless. If you can tolerate them may I suggest premier protein clear drinks. Also beef sticks. And nuts already shelled in a jar so that you can pour a bit into your mouth without having to touch them. These are my main stays for in between better meal options. You could also log it all ahead of time and then subtract what's left in your cooler at the end of the day.

Thanks for the ideas! Meals will be my big problem unless I just make a ton of sandwiches ahead. However hubby just told me he wouldn’t need me. We will see if that stays true. He also said we could keep our plans this weekend but now says we probably can’t. 🤷‍♀️ This is why the last few years I’ve requested to be left out of all of it lol. Already did the shopping for it as for sandwiches so we will probably be eating a lot of those whether I’m the field or not 😉. The burgers I planned to make are still frozen so no biggie. Have jerky and things but didn’t think about nuts. I love almonds. I would overeat them but if you are going to over eat something then jerky and almonds are a good choice lol. You mentioned premier protein. I’ve not tried the clear ones but if I am needed then I could take the shakes I have. Would be like a treat since they are sweet. One that won’t melt and would stay nice and cold in the ice chest. I’m still going to pack a bag with things like rags, toilet paper or tissues (I’m allergic to grain dust so will probably need to blow my nose a lot), a book so if o have to stop and wait etc. If I don’t help then it’s easy enough to unpack those few items. Off to make a couple meal plans in case I do/don’t help. That way I’m ready.
