Good morning, friends!

So, I got a new smart scale. I can now sleep at night again. lol.

It seems to weight somewhat close to my old one, though I don't know this for sure. My old one dies, and I bought a new one, and therefor I can't do an actual comparison.

So, I will basically have to call it "fresh start", and just keep going.

I am today 91.2 kgs. That's what I would more or less have expected anyways, so I am fine moving along with this number.

The number that REALLY changed is the fat percentage.

I believe it was around 20% on my old scale. Now I am around 25%. Meh, I can live with that. There are several thoughts to this.

1. It's a different scale.
2. This scale is the one that does NOT have the handle, and thus don't put the current through the entire body. This one is basically the lower body measure thingy.
3. I'm sure the old one was inaccurate, and could only be used as a general guideline. I was never at a 4% fat level. Not a chance. Try googling "10% body fat". You'll see what I mean. :)

Anyways, this is a pretty nifty scale. Quite like it. It measures a ton of other things, and I am still trying to figure out what they are. Maybe I should read that little booklet that comes with it? lol.

So, yesterday was Low Cal Day. It went without a hitch. I had absolutely no problems sticking to plan. It's now 4th time I did it, and I quite like it.

I felt bloated though the weekend. I felt uncomfortable with myself and my eating. I felt fat. Honestly, I felt fat again.

Today, after a Low Cal Day, I feel amazing. I feel accomplished. I feel energized. I feel clean. I feel that I am losing weight as I'm supposed to. It's a whole different feeling.

This is something I want to feel all the time. Of course, not every day can be a Low Cal Day, I'd starve, but I do see that I need to put a little more focus on what I eat on the days that are Normal Days and Indulgence Days. We'll see how I manage that.

It's always easy for me to lay plans early in the week. I'm so good at screwing them up throughout the week, it's no joke.

However, I do want to keep experimenting with my new weight loss journey and theory, and to do that I have to stick to plan. It's essential.

I think I got some of the food urges out this weekend, and boy were they bad. I think I'm ready to feel different, and ready to do right. Hell, I've been doing good for several weeks, and when I look back at the numbers I do see improvements. I do see weight loss. It just doesn't feel like I'm doing ENOUGH. I'm sure you all know that feeling.

Maybe it's simply a matter of me realizing that I am now doing what I NEED to do, stay below calories burned. That is all. Maybe I just need to see that I AM DOING THAT, and not feel that I'm not accomplishing.

It's a little hard to do, when I have the deadline in February. I really, really want to make it, but time is getting short. I am working on it though, and I think as long as I am serious about it, I can still make it.

This morning I had trouble sleeping. We went to bed early, and I reallly think this was the only reason I woke up early.

I spend 30 minutes on the stationary bike, just to get in a little movement. It was a nice feeling, too. I watched some tv, and just enjoyed myself. 30 minutes passed in no time.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Getting a new scale!
- Getting up early to bike!
- Morning coffee!
- Teaching the kids tonight!
- Wife!

Happy Tuesday! Life is good!

I like the idea of a stationary bike - I've vowed I have to to my treadmill six months before any new equipment added but I am thinking that would be a better morning exercise for me while still trying to get my body to wake. I'm definitely sticking with the treadmill for now but may lower my 'next' to three months and make my treadmill the evening exercise.

FullaBella, it's the only equipment I have. I live on the 3rd floor in an old apartment with creaky floors. Exercise is hard on the neighbors. I could never justify a treadmill. lol. THey'd kill me.
