I kept wanting one of the Special K snack bars yesterday, but those things are pretty much like eating a cookie. I managed to talk myself out of it and eat fruit instead. Resisted the low-cal fudgesicles too. Small victories.

So glad to have an accurate scale finally. I weighed myself a few times over a 12-hour period yesterday and it was amazing how much my weight fluctuated -- up and down about a pound, round and round, all over town.

Good grief, it took me over an hour to calculate the nutrition facts for a cup of homemade coconut chicken soup. I was shocked at how much sodium it had. Must be in the curry paste and fish sauce. But man, it was delicious!
195.4 lb Lost so far: 16.6 lb.    Still to go: 45.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Not to undermine your willpower, because that's great and I feel the same way about snack bars! However, I found that Special K has a new "crisp" bar. It has a similar taste to pop-tarts. I know not good, but they would satisfy that sweet tooth w/o the calories. If you're ever in the mood for something like that. *Love the nickname btw.* :)

Way to resist! Now that we are in the middle of the fresh fruit season, how can you go for a dead dry old snack bar, anyway? After eating healthy for a few weeks, you'll start to appreciate the taste of healthy food. You'll go to the market, and say, "Look at those beautiful peaches." instead of "Look at that big devil's food cake."

SweatPea! Ha! That's a funny nickname too. I will definitely have to stay away from that new crisp bar. Just before I went on this diet, I developed a Pop-Tart addiction. I can't go there! But if I do break down and have a regular Special K bar, I'm not going to kick myself for it. I feel confident that I can stop at just one. Runesinger, I am with you on fresh fruit. This summer's fruit has been so delish that if I had to choose between a Krispy Kreme donut and a cantaloupe with gorgonzola -- I'm going for the latter!
