I’ve done quite well not worrying these last few weeks when the scale has been moving daily between 117-119. I’m the exact number I want to be but I’ve gained 3# recently?? Workout yesterday plus cutting down a small tree with a hand saw. Had a big glass of iced tea, 2 bottles of water around gym time and probably two throughout the day. I know logically this can’t be fat but.... can it? The calorie numbers aren’t there but the time is. No way could I have built a couple pounds of muscle in 2-3 weeks. Let’s say 1# water retention from the lifting, 1# from dehydration and that leaves 1# to figure out. Ugh I could have gained a pound of fat logically if the numbers on FS were off. 🤦‍♀️ Ok my jaw hurts from grinding my teeth trying to figure this out so... it’s time to read :). Happy rainy Tuesday!

Highly unlikely that you have gained 3 pounds of fat out of thin air. Not muscle in 2-3 weeks either.

Sleep number says I slept for 6 hours and 53 minutes. I took a nap to make up for it 😉. The only thing I can think of is hormones. However, May 2016 I had a complete hysterectomy therefore shouldn’t have many hormones. I’m obsessive about figuring things out so for the last 3 years I’ve kept a log of when my ‘flo’ should be and that should’ve been over this last weekend. So I guess it’s possible and maybe I should do a hormone panel, but my insurance won’t cover it and we are strapped right now. Also, I noticed this last week, and even so far this week, I’ve been wanting more of what I consider comfort foods. Homemade mac and cheese, pizza, calzone, chocolate, cinnamon rolls etc. That leads me to believe the hormone theory just might have some merit.

@Chris, at the end of each machine I feel like a limp noodle yet I’m good to go on the next. I alternate legs and arms as much as I can (leg press then bicep curl followed by leg extensions and tricep pull down thingy). I use 13 machines each week unless the leg press is popular then 12. Sometimes I do the lat pull down but it’s rare to find it empty. So 12-14 machines, 3 sets... 8-12 reps at a lower weight or 3-8 reps at a higher weight. I tend to recover faster with the higher weights. I’m more tired when I leave but feel better by morning whereas the lower weights tend to make me sore for a couple days but I feel good leaving. As for the pudge, I can feel a difference in the belly area lol. Jeans just a bit snugger and tummy feels softer when relaxed. Not enough to worry after just a couple of weeks but enough that I’m considering cutting back again when school lets out. Too many food fundraisers at the end of the year... pizza and hotdogs mostly lol. Can’t miss that! Gotta support the school and clubs dont ya know 😆.

Thanks Chris! I’ve been told that I was raised in a negative environment therefore it’ll be hard to change to a positive person overall. My dr and even some family say I’ve come a long way in the last 3 years. Still have tons of room to improve lol. My body and diet are constantly changing which means a lot of doubt and uncertainty. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll figure it out eventually. As for the bio, I posted it once then one update in the 3 years I’ve been here. Guess I need to try to do it monthly or at least quarterly. I’ll do my best to do that soon as I should have some free time off and on this week.
