Good morning Warriors, and Happy Friday! Wow what a good night of sleep will do for you! I was in bed by 8pm and woke up at 10:39pm thinking I had been asleep for HOURS....that is just how hard I had been sleeping. I was so happy to see I could go back to sleep for several more hours. Feeling much better today. Still a bit of a runny nose, but I am confident that I will not get any worse for wear after being exposed to the flu. Will keep taking my vitamins and minerals and staying hydrated and eating right!

DH's doctor appointment......... Basically, the Doctor told him the letter was to scare him with reality. Sucker Punch! He told him that he could keep eating like he is and go on insulin and be dead in a year or he could get his shit together. DH showed him the BS results from his glucometer and eating "like me" is what he told the Doctor. The Doctor told him if he "eats like me" then he can stay off the insulin because he will be fine. His back/kidneys no longer hurt, either. Imagine! :)

Happy to see the scale on a steady trend down. Some NSV's....the super skinny jeans that I have been able to wear once since I moved to PNW 9-1/2 years ago...I can now put on and button up. They are still a little too snug for comfort. My FAVORITE pair of capri pants that I have only been able to wear once since moving up here....can wear them!!!! The waist on these do not have any give and they are drawstring (not stretchy at all) so have to do a bit of a wiggle to get them over my hips but then they fit GREAT. So I know they will just keep getting better. I am so happy about that. Tried on a pair of slacks that a few weeks ago couldn't get them on or buttoned and today I did, but I need to lose a few more pounds for those to look as good as they should. I will try these all again when I pack to travel, in two weeks. I love NSV's!!! Remember the scale is just a tool, my friends!!

Well that all sounds great Jaime. Glad you husband is embracing that he needs to change the diet. I really enjoy not using the scale as my tool to assess where I am with my diet and progress. It has changed by focus to me getting better at feeling how my body is doing and responding long term.
