I started a Keto diet(of sorts) today. It goes against all I've learned over the years. I felt so guilty eating whole eggs and cheese😱 I'll see how the rest of the day goes. I'm having turkey burgers for lunch, I'll have to work up to beef. I'm so anxious, I'm afraid of back pedaling on my weight loss. Bye the way 2000 steps on my stepper burns 2 ounces...lol Have a healthy day.
200.3 lb Lost so far: 29.7 lb.    Still to go: 15.3 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Welcome to the other side LOL. It is nice here. My two cents of advice is to stay away for low fat items. They will have too many carbs

Please make sure you get enough salt. The body sheds salt with low carb eating, which can cause headaches, dizziness, fainting, constipation. It's suggested to have a cup or 2 of salty broth or bouillon per day.

It's counter-intuitive --- but, when you really dig into the science of it, it makes sense. Eat fat to lose fat...doesn't make sense...but, it works! So, I'm doing it and it's working. There are so many physical benefits, beside the weight loss, that I intend to stick with it. I just FEEL so much better.

Eat all the eggs you want.. I ate up to 20 or more per day. Never had better trigs and other labs...

I would eat the turkey burger but not the bun. Substitute lettuce for the bread which turns to sugar in your body. I've just turned on to Keto since Thanksgiving and although I haven't been able yet to usually get below around 35 grams of carb, I've lost all my weight. I also do Intermittent Fasting for around 16 to 18 hours a day which leaves me a 6 to 8 hour eating window, plenty for 2 meals. My health is getting much better. Best thing I ever did. Watch some of the doctors on YouTube to learn more. Oh yes, and that guy on YouTube that made the tape "Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off" Best wishes.

Thank you all for the input. Today was tough, especially when the waitress dropped homemade bread in front of me. I stood my ground and ate two thin pork chop(I did not cut off the fat) half cup Broc and a cup of lettuce and tom. We'll see what dinner brings.😁🙋

Welcome to keto. I read your bio. Wow. I can relate lifeus interruptus 🌠 Just stick the keto and you got this* and get your potassium and sodium. If you have any questions just ask a keto peep. All ya , lol FAT . It was hard at my at first but then, the inflammation went down in my body, the binge cravings started to go away, for the first time in my life I'm not yoyo dieting! That's a miracle

Ps, at first you might want to cheat don't. There were days I ate a whole block of cheese or extra fried chicken with butter or bacon , and it got me through the first tempting days. Even with that much food I didn't gain! Good lock 👍
