Omg my silly body! Had a huge calorie day yesterday and weighed in 1.5# less this morning lol. I’m so NOT complaining but I had to roll my eyes this morning when I saw the scale.

Yesterday my teenager, omg I have a teen now(!), had her well check. Seems she’s still just under my height and she was 119 without boots on. At home we measured her 1/2” taller and she says our scale shows 105-110. It’s off by 0.6 for me so I kinda doubt it’s off 9-14# for her. I’m catching up to her on weight! As she so kindly told me, not, we may be close in weight but she looks better. Lol spoken like a teenager! She’s not wrong! As I keep telling her, she may look exactly like me but she’s half her daddy so she could easily end up gaining weight and maybe another 6-10” in height before she’s done growing. At 16 I was 5’2 3/4 and 110#. At 38 I’m 5’ 3 3/4 and 123#. At 13 she is already bigger than I was at 16 so I think her bone structure takes after hubby more but thankfully not near as big as him! His wrists are huge!! She was upset at her weight the other day and I had to remind her that she has PE, athletics and practices for 11-12 hours a week. You aren’t gonna be boney with all that activity and building muscle! I also keep reminding her that she’s more solid than I am with a LOT more (better) muscle than I. She compares herself to em a lot which worries me yet I think it’s normal because I always wanted to reach my mothers height. Everyone said we were Twinkie’s and we were once mistaken for sisters. As long as my kiddo doesn’t get upset then I’ll encourage and support her comparisons. I lighten the mood by standing on my toes a bit or bending my knees a bit lol. She then holds me in place to measure and gives me the happy eye roll.

Her weight going up so much is a worry though. Could her period cause that much gain in water weight? She eats a lot like her daddy usually but lately she’s started eating much less. I’d assumed a growth spurt but we haven’t seen it yet other than her feet grew some. I also noticed that she is starting to have some definition to her waist and hips. Not so much anyone else would notice but I’m her mom 😉 and want to keep her little so these things stand out to me. Her dr didn’t seem too concerned at the approximately 10# weight gain over the last several weeks so I’m not worried. Just thought some of you ladies (and gents) might have some insight for me!
123.0 lb Lost so far: 37.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
