Day 3 of a planned 4 day ‘no solid food’ fast
Blood sugar 100 mg/dL

60 pushups 2019 PUSH UP Challenge (Overall leaderboard)

Nice to see the scale really move. What I learned from this latest round is that running 5-7 miles a day while drinking 700 calories in protein shakes in heavy cream, can make the scale move for me.

I didn't make it to the gym. Haven't made it to the gym all week. That is a first for me. I have not missed my 3 day a week gym visits since August. However, running really saps my lifting strength. I still should have gone, just lifted less. But, the place is so darn crowded with the "Holiday/Vacation Traffic" that it has been easier for me to just run.

I decided to have a Quest low-carb Pizza tonight. This will break my fast, but, looking at my data, I always lose weight after eating one of these Pizzas. They have so much fiber in them, you can only eat half before you are totally full.

I plan to fast all day Saturday.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

@Sweetlysad - If I were consistent with my diet, like you are, I wouldn't have to exercise so hard :) But, if you look at my food log, you will see MASSIVE 7,000 calories in 4 days, eating binges... When I look at *your* food log, it takes you 9-10 days to consume that many calories. And don't get me started on the carbs... I can do 500 carbs in the same period. It takes you 10-12 days to pound that much down Haha But, yeah exercise feels great. However, I really recommend 'weight resistant training' (this can be anything from using 'resistance bands', squatting with a kettlebell, using the machines at the gym, or lifting free weights), for the 'best results'. I think I am burning so much running because I have built up so much muscle over the past 4 months.

So true ! Hehe I have some resistance bands and weights in a closet somewhere lol I will start doing some planks and also some light weight lifting . I think this will be beneficial to my weight loss and health also! One day at a time ! Thanks for your support 😄

@Nadeens life style - On a "No Solid Food" day I wake up, put a scoop of "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder" in with a cup of coffee and then go to work. I then drink Decaf green tea most of the day. But during the day, I will then have a scoop of "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder" in a cup of hot water (from the Keurig on my desk) with heavy cream. I may have two of these during the day. If I am stressed out and 'need something more' I will have a 'miso soup' from a packet, in hot water, that I drink out of my coffee cup. At night I have 2 scoops of "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder" blended with crushed ice that creates what actually taste like a milkshake. The calories average between 700-1100 calorie and 10-20 carbs. I am not hungry at all so I can do this 5 days a week for months at a time. I usually drop 1-2 pounds a day when I do this *AND* exercise.
