Good morning, Fatsecret friends!

Another day of doing 100%. It feels good to accomplish, and the results definitely show. I'm at 87.2 kgs today - almost a pound down from yesterday - again.

The last three days I have dropped a whopping 3.4 kgs (that's 7-8 lbs!), and I feel that it's pretty obvious why:

1. Plenty of water. I always follow this one, even when I don't do good.
2. PLAN AHEAD! Make sure your meals fit within your RDI.
3. (Almost) no potatoes, pasta, white bread and rice.
4. STICK TO PLAN!

That's really it.

Now, why am I having such a hard damn time doing this sometimes?

I talked a little bit about this the first time my weight loss class met. How I could essentially tell them the trick in 30 seconds or less. "Eat less than you burn". There. Done. Here comes the trickier part: Do it day in and day out.

We won't do it until we're motivated.

So, essentially, it's not always about doing things right. Well, it is, but it's not. The "doing right" part comes almost automatically once we are motivated.

Seeing the results this week definitely makes me motivated. In my eyes, 87.2 kgs is still VERY unacceptable - it's ten kilos more than what I have been - but it's a whole lot better than 90. I can feel the difference, I can see the difference. So I am happy that what I'm doing is working, and I'm motivated to keep going.

Today is of course cake day at work. I'm not even phased by it. I won't touch it. I won't have a problem with it. I'll bring an "emergency apple" to my afternoon meeting, and have that if I feel a need for anything. It'll solve my problem, should it arise.

So, today I am thankful for:
- Another lb lost.
- Focus, focus, focus.
- Morning coffee.

Have an awesome Thursday! Do good and do right! Life is good!

I think that you've nailed it. We all know HOW. Most of us have experienced real success, to an astonishing degree. But doing it FOREVER sucks quite a lot. We get habit fatigue, I guess. I think your class are incredibly lucky to have you backing them up. =) xx

I appreciate the kind words - and HAPPY BIRTHDAY angel face. Ferlengheti, I like that expression - habit fatigue. It covers VERY well. Sometimes we just get sick of it all and have to do something different. At least, I do.

That is a good point about the fatigue, sometimes it does get old. Maybe the results slow down. Lately I am applying the motto "keep your eye on the prize" to some other aspects of my life. I suppose it will work with our weight loss journey as well. I am in this for a reason, and sometimes we lose sight of this. Kind of a "Forrest for the trees" scenario.

A change is as good as a break. Finding alternative food choices with the same calories isn't actually as hard as I thought. xx
