It's harder to say and to admit than it is to know. I started to ignore this weigh in. We celebrated my Mom's 80th BD and I hosted. We had kin come from CA, TX, KY, MD, SC, VA, NC, and perhaps a few more. Regardless I was unhinged as I celebrated what turned out to be approx a week of unfettered eating, as they traveled in and out of town. I have been so disciplined for the past five years, but not so much over the past few months, and especially over the last week. I think I'm ready to refocus. Shoot :(

What a beautiful and special way to celebrate your mom! Nobody's perfect, aeg1. And it is only a pound. I think it is a valid reason to let your hair down, personally. Let it go and get back to your program. All will be well.

jgf123, thanks for the comment, but I'm now 7 lbs from goal, and have been so for more than a year. I'm not looking to merely hit the goal numbers, but to get there legit. I've hit it a few times due to dehydration this past summer while working in the heat, but knew it was short lived. I'm seeking a legitimate 155 lbs. Thank you.

1 lb hardly seems unfettered, however, it is great you acknowleged and are adjusting. Be kind to yourself.

A pound gained is quite nothing with what you've achieved so far. :)

HumbleDeer it isn't the pound, it's the 7 lbs away from goal, and how hard I've been at my last 5 that is getting to me. But thanks for the encouragement

Thank you! The struggle is real, lol. It's day in and day out good decision making, right? I think sometimes it's good to relax a strict diet for a brief time, then get back to it.

Enjoying our time with family is important too...It sounds like you had a good time and that is what we are here to do. Live our life on the journey. I know you will bounce back and be back on track with great memories to boot. I wish you all the best on your adventure.

you need those breaks once in a while, one you need to jumpstart your system, two you need to enjoy those special times!
