Day 1 of a planned 5 day Fat Bomb Week

Blood sugar 86 mg/dL

It seems like I did not gain a pound yesterday, but I went to the 🏋🏾 gym (I did a rare 2 gym sessions in two days) AND 🏃🏾 ran 7 miles. Mid-day I was down 3lbs. Last night we had a dinner party and I had lasagna AND a meatball sandwich.

📈 So this is what a 3lbs gain looks like when I incorporate the gym and running. As with fasting, this is another 'tool' for a person like me who cannot control his eating.

This week I plan to drink a 🥛 protein shake in the morning, Eat 2 💣 fat bombs during the day, and drink a 🥛 protein shake at night.

This keeps my carbs about the same as before so the only real change is to consume less protein because I suspect my body was easily burning the 100g+ of protein I was consuming like carbs.

Hey bud. How's mom? Praying for her and you and your family. You've learn to control your food via fasting - WIN. You've now learned, for your body, what levels of protein worked against your plan - WIN. I want you to carefully watch your intake of fat bombs because think about it, why should your body choose to access the subcutaneous (the fat you see) or the visceral fat the ones you don't see (the dangerous type around or / in your organs) if you are feeding your body. My 2 cents. Log, analyze and log. You got this.

good experiment and yes I don't know what the fat and protein is on the fat bomb but I would shoot for a decent amount of protein to maintain your muscle development into your daily calculations. Calorie totals will make a difference too. I agree too much protein in the 100 to 120 level raises my glucose too. 80 keeps me balanced. finding that sweet spot to also get fat loss will be interesting. But your exercise is far more intensive than my minor work outs.

oh I just looked at your day yesterday, I think that was very moderate day for you and great balance to fuel your workout days. very interesting that you did well eating carbs within reason. good range on the macro's for today too.

@chesgreen - I totally agree about the fat bombs possibly preventing burning my OWN fat, so this is just an 'experiment' :)

@baskington - Waking up to an 86 shows that for whatever reason my blood glucose did not go as high as it normally would have with me eating bread :)

this is why you try new things out, your low calories planned for today and lower fat % all look like a great place to start.

@Keilin_4 - My OMAD started on time but did not stop 4 hours later. Basically it went on for ANOTHER 4 hours :(

Keilin I agree He is stronger than he realizes 💪 Adef you are so good about exercise. It is a wonder you have any weaknesses at all 😃 I’m so lazy. I’d really not eat if it means I have to do squats 🤣

@CrashtestDawnie - For me the exercise is all about 'motivation' :) I do it because it is one of the few things I CAN do. Otherwise it is just "continuous failure": 'trying to control what I eat', 'trying to control how much I eat' ect...

"Feeling sorry " I think that is why we gain weight, we are not happy with our bodies but we feel sorry about ourselves so we don't start doing something about it, , and when we complains about it what we want from others is compassion too . 🤔😕

A member of my family was complaining about her weight, and offered her help, but I think that my message made things worse, my intention was to help not to hurt her feelings, but it is hard to talk with a overweight person, I know that. 😰😭

I know it upsets you but honestly you did control your carbs. You did not go crazy as you have in the past with out of control eating. that is a huge improvement. it showed in your glucose reading this morning, the difference between eating moderately of your carb meal with reasonable calorie intake and going totally off the wall with tons of calories and carbs. I already commented earlier when I went to look and was surprized you ate so normally like a real balanced plan. Granted you may have wanted to do less, but this was progress. If you are going to be carb cycling you need to learn to do this type of control you showed yesterday to balance out your fat loss goal to your body work. the only other choice is to load up on protein and fat to fuel those workouts and you definitely seem to like the way you can pump to the carb loading.
