Day 3 of a planned 11 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 85 mg/dL

👶🏾 Waaa! Let's be honest, I was hoping for a 2 pound loss. That's what I had last week and I also want to erase the 5 pound gain this weekend as soon as possible so I can 'put it behind me'. Yes, I know I am being stupid...

🧘🏾‍♂️ Consuming Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder (1 scoop) and Heavy Whipping Cream, and Splenda in hot water (split between two cups during the day), has made the fast extremely easy so far. I am basically 'full' throughout the day. Not necessarily a good thing for a 'fast', but when you are on day 3 looking at 8 more days to fast you want to 'pace yourself' :)

🌟 My current exercise plan:

🏃🏾 1 hour walk at lunch every day
🏃🏾 1 hour walk after work every day
🏃🏾 5 mile run every other day
💪🏾 1 hour weight lifting every other day

Have a good day everyone!

@keilin-4 - Yes, a one pound loss is a blessing :) I should be grateful for a three pound loss in two days! Its just that I seem to have found a 'diet' that is sooo comfortable that I want it to work sooo bad :) Last week it was perfect (9 pound loss in 5 days) that I was hoping to repeat the results to prove to myself that this is 'the formula'. I will see what happens during this fast, but, I will accept and be happy with whatever happens :)

I know, you're blessed, keep doing what you do, some persons think you are losing your mind but you have my support. 😀👏 Now I also believe that eating 24/7 or breakfast the most important meal of the day it is bullsh*t, there are people here still don't find the right diet for them, that is sad.

it can take time to work off the excess carbs so no biggy, be patient all will work out in the end. You are doing just fine.

Be calm and happy in your journey. Never forget, perfection is the enemy of good. Sharing your fasting journey in the last 5 months with others is helping in so many ways. Keep fighting that fight.

as you do have a methodical approach have you considered ever eating 4 meals a day and weight training a different muscle group every night and finishing with cardio. this no solid food diet still seems really suspect to me mate. I know different approaches for different people but I was talking to the nutritionist at my gym and they definitely never want to see any of their clients take this particular approach

are you supplementing with multi vitamins? your definitely not getting everything the body needs on protein powder cream and splenda

@keith george cooke - I have been obese all my adult life (I am now 49). After 6 months of fasting I am 5 pounds above my BMI... Yeah, there is no way I would ever change a thing :) :) As far as nutrition, I take multi-vitamins, fish oil, daily. The real key is " Hi-Lyte Electrolyte Concentrate" that provides Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium & Zinc. In my experience THAT is what makes the difference in a multi-day fast.

Just don't sacrifice ya health for weight loss mate👍 BMI is not worth worrying about at all. I'm 10.5% body fat and in the overweight range hahaha. Aiming for single digit body fat and clinically obese

BMI was never intended to measure an individual, but a population.

@jenjabba - I'm gonna fight you for those pounds tomorrow! Stuck to drinking tea and protein drinks. I'm headed to the gym after work. I plan to spend an hour lifting heavy weights. I've been at this so consistently I am actually looking forward to 'feeling the burn'. However, let's see if I actually drop any weight tomorrow haha!

@keith george cooke - It is 4:48pm in Los Angles. Before this diet I would be into my second bag of 330 calorie Cheetos from the vending machine by now. So, NOT eating is really the best thing I could do for my health Hahaha

Not at all mate Not eating Cheetos I agree but a well balanced cal control diet with exercise is the key to health. I respect the results you have made, and more respect for your resolve but have genuine concerns for your long term health on this no solid food diet. I might be very wrong mate and I hope I am.
