I am really wondering if the recent gain is my body adjusting to me upping my exercise. Any input?

I still think it was just water weight, I get that frequently but at the end of the week I generally have a 1 pound drop. It is about every 4 to 5 days depending on what I ate. then the up and down all week in range though and then the next drop

Change in routine usually affects me ten days to two weeks before it adjusts, provided I have a new routine that I stick to during that time, rather than just haphazard.

If you are lifting weights the increase could be due to upping your muscle mass. Since muscle is heavier than fat, you could gain weight from your training. Body builders are thrilled when they gain weight because it means increased muscle size. As long as your waist size isn't increasing nothing to worry about.
