Day 5 of a planned 5 day fast

If this were last week, I would be celebrating right now because last week 170lbs was my goal weight :)

Last week, I reset it to 164lbs which is what the Google BMI calculator says my Body Mass Index weight should be (type "BMI Calculator" in Google and press enter to see the calculator).

What is kinda funny (but, kinda not funny), is that for 8 years on Fat Secret my goal weight was 200lbs! I am 5' 8" so this had me fully in the 'obese' range, and still had me 36 pounds overweight! However, it was the lowest I could even 'dream' of.

124 days ago, on March 25th (about 4 months ago) was the first day I tried to fast. You can see my journal entry: https://bit.ly/2NfkXF9 - - It was the fasting that allowed me to lose the weight, however, it was also the day when I started journaling and regularly recording my food and exercise. I think both things are important.

The goal this weekend is to try to keep carbs below 20 and not gain any weight :)

Have a great Friday everyone!

@Samantharox1 - Thank You! I don't know how long it will take to lose the last 6 pounds (a month ago I was stuck at the same weight for over 30 days!).

My vacation is almost up and then I can get back to the grind. After this weekend I will be back home and that lawn of mine will kick my behind. However I am looking forward to the workout it's my boot camp. I will be able to begin some fasting as well. No worries you will get there and it will all be worth the hard work.

@SDCyclist - If you look at my journal posts from the first few weeks I was drinking McDonald's milk shakes and just trying to get 1-2 days at a time. No way I thought I could go 5 days! I just Slooooowly built up to it.

I’m sure glad you have found something that can bring peace to you.. it must be hard to deal with that “egol” issue.

You can do this.👍 Actually, in my opinion, you already have. 😊

@Kenna Morton - I thought the same thing before I tried it. There is a spiritual freedom when the focus shifts from 'being filled' to "being a peace with what I have". My Ego 'demands' more and more and is never satisfied. A 'binge' is what happens to me when my "Ego" is out of control. It is NEVER satisfied. However, 'acceptance' and 'gratitude' of living off the fat stored in my body allows for peace and serenity. When I have gotten used to this 'peace' it is hard to imagine my life without it.
